Question about eggs

Hello, I am new here. I have been reading alot and think this is a great community. My wife and I are presently looking to get a boxer pup for our kids. I am just trying to do my homework first. (And save money for a "good" boxer, and not a byb. I have read a few posts about people feeding their dogs a raw or cooked egg, and have seen some that are cautious about the raw aspect. My question is, what about hard boiled? Will they eat them that way? And any other tips on keeping their coat nice and shiny? I am sure I will be asking ALOT of questions over the next few weeks. :)

I feed mine both - hard boiled and raw.  I add the raw egg into their raw meal, but do boil the egg as a treat and let them eat it shells and all (shells are a great source of calcium)
Its okay to feed dogs the shells too?
I know there are a few people on here that feed shell also, I just haven't tried that yet..Mine get a raw egg once a week and also some sardines packed in olive oil...Fish oil is great for a glossy coat..Look at how shiny Heather's (hannabanana) Hanna & Kash are  :)
Oh okay, but are there any risks from putting eggs and oil and such as an add-on?
I feed Maddie raw eggs, shell and all. I just rinse the egg good before I give it to her. Sometimes she won't eat the shell, she will just play with it!
This might be a stupid question, but where do you buy fish oil? The coat on my dog is not very shiny at all so i'm willing to try some fish oil to see if it will help him. However I do feed 3 raw eggs a weeks mixed in blender shell also.
I feed Fiona raw eggs and boiled eggs but she wont eat the shell :)
i feed sumya eggs once sometimes twice a week now, it has been helping a little,i can't feed them raw anymore cuz it makes her poop runny, so i scramble them.she loves them.
The labs we owned growing up we always fed raw eggs for their coat since they were in the water allot. I feed britney raw eggs mixed in with her food a couple times a week. She just loves it and also improves her coat.
My main concern is that my pups aren't the fittest dogs in the world, and im worried it would just add on to their weight? Would it?
G
I add raw egg every other meal One per dog they love it and it is good from what I gather. I tried feedong the shells too but THey all (4) make a mess by spreading it around outside their bowl. I gave it in 2 pieces and tried breaking it into smaller pieces they still sift it out and make a mess but it is good for them...
I'm gonna try that...
Xena and Zoe have nice coats but I'm looking at some of the pics of other boxers on here and it looks like their coats just got washed n waxed....shined up like a mirror.

All this talk of eggs and now I'm craving hard boiled eggs with salt...i think im gonna go make some.

 No need to eat the shell unless you are lacking in calcium!
Kiah gets a raw egg once every 5 days or so; she has a great time getting it cracked and eats the shell too.  I will scramble an egg for her on weekends as a special treat.  I will cut back on her food a bit if she is getting other treats so she isn't fed too much.  She gets a lot of exercise so she runs a lot of it off.
Jessie stole the shells off the counter the other day... but i didnt let her eat them... it just doesnt seem like something that anyone would want going through their stomachs
Lola gets an egg here and there, somewhat infrequently.  Maybe 2 per month.  Usually lightly scrambled but sometimes raw (if she won't eat it at first raw just poke a little hole in it).  I don't mix raw with kibble though.
I don't understand how the shell would not cut them?
Not really, if it's raw; my dogs eat raw eggs with the shell on occasion, and many raw feeders give them regularly as a source of calcium.  I wouldn't give cooked shell unless it was ground to a powder (and even then I'm not sure it would have any nutritional value left).
I don't mix raw with kibble though.
Any particular reason?  We gave my lab raw eggs monthly and always just broke the egg and poured it in with her kibble.
