Has anyone dealt with Cedar Boxers in Ohio? I'm looking at a pup from them, and I want to make sure they are a reputable breeder. I'd appreciate any feedback! Thanks!!!

Yes, Caesar is the father. I decided not to go with the litter though because the mom, Myra, wasn't a show dog. I've researched that you should pick a breeder who is breeding two show dogs. I've decided to go with Dajen Kennels instead. Rip and Wisp are going to be the parents. It's closer to my state of Louisiana, and I've heard good things. I know both of the parents have placed in showing and they are both health tested and healthy. Thanks for your response! I appreciate it! Have you happen to hear of Dajen Kennels? I was told by one person that she was a good choice, but I can never hear it too many times!

Were you looking for a show dog? Do you plan on showing in the future? I only ask because not all dogs do well in the ring so it's possible that she wasn't a 'show' dog but contains the qualities to produce them. As long as they are health tested and pass all their clearances then I don't think it really matters if one is deemed a 'show dog' and one isn't.

Up to you though :)

It's fine she isn't. She just needs to be health tested. Not every dog has enough flash or the attitude. She's titled in agility I believe though. Although Ohio is far. I've never heard of Dajen. I'll see if I can find them.

Ok, it appears on the puppy page the last litter was whelped a year ago. Does she have another litter on the ground?

She is titled in agility. She couldn't be shown because her head wasn't shaped good enough and her ears were accidentally cropped with a pitbull crop. I would have to fly out there to get her which would be quite a bit of added cost too. She is healthy, but the fact that her head wasn't a good shape worried me a bit. Also, I had already put a deposit down with Dajen. I was going to see if I could get it back, but after thinking about the distance, I changed my mind. We are currently saving for a wedding, so every little bit of money saved is important.

Dajen is located in Georgia which is a lot closer and I already had put down a deposit about a month ago. She still hasn't bred the dogs yet. She should be going into heat this month or next.

No I'm not looking for a show dog. See my response above to see why I decided to go with someone else. I will keep that in mind though for future boxers! Thank you!
