Well we just rescued a boxer and have had her now for about a month and today she started salivating out of the right side of her mouth not foam just drips of spit. She has had gone to the bathroom both 1 & 2 nothing abnormal there seems to be eating fine no vomiting or anything just saliva. Is this normal for a boxer or does she maybe have somthing wrong with her?
Any help would be very appriciated

I would have to say...YES, salivating like that is very normal.  Zeus starts dripping with just the sound of opening his treat jar.  He will also blow bubbles out of the sides of his mouth.  I would say you have nothing to worry about!!!!!!!

Duke slobbers drool bubbles (multilevels of it sometimes, dripping onto the floor - yuk!) when he sees food that he wants.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your adoption  :D Kind of sounds like her stomach is upset. Have you changed foods/treats recently? Some dogs drool when they're nervous, being a rescue she's probably had lots of changes maybe something has upset her? I'd keep an eye on her and hopefully she's doing better soon.

Nope nothing has changed she just finished eating and with her being a rescue i thought the same thing but she is wonderful no behavior problems at all. A bit stubbon though. And i'm in rochester NY it's a cool 19 degrees!

Kiah only salivates when she smells food or if I am eating something but I have heard that there are some boxers that drool more often.

Gaby salivates when shes outside playing in the snow and eating snow, she gets the drool bubbles on the sides of her mouth   other than that it's really the only time I've seen her drool..

Chloe never used to be a big drooler until a few months ago. She drools all the time now and sometimes for no reason. We had the vet check her out because we thought maybe it was her teeth or something but her teeth and everything were perfect. But it is worse when we are eating something she wants then she just leaves little drool puddles or if Brodi is standing underneath her he becomes her bib. Maybe next time you have her at the vet just have them check her teeth to make sure they are okay.

Ya i might be a little over protective of her but she is a breast cancer survivor so any little thing could turn out to be a problem. She has an appointment on the 19th to get a small lump airated, and the drooling has stopped for now she seems to be acting normal but thank you very much for the piece of mind
