We noticed a scratch on our 8 month old Boxers face this evening.
Not exactly sure when it happened since it’s hidden in a wrinkle.
Wondering if we should take him to the vet? Everything else is normal eating drinking. He’s a little mopey today but we don’t think he slept much last night as we had a huge wind storm and he was very on edge.
The wrinkle is very wet below with a crusty on the left side.

That’s really not a scratch thats a pretty bad wrinkle infection. Dirt and stuff accumulates in the wrinkles on the face and they need to be cleaned out regularity. You need a warm washcloth and gently pull the fold open and clean out the area well and apply neosporin to the infected area. The folds on the face and under the chin should be wiped out regularity I also use a product called wrinkle wipes for quick cleaning

Please visit a vet. You can never be so sure. Sometimes our minds wants to convince us we're well or our pets are when it's not really the case.
