Ok, when Tyson is sleeping, he will start shaking a little, then maybe a lot.  It's pretty much his whole body.  It will start with his paw, then his legs, and then other parts of his body. And it happens ALOT.  At first I thought he was just dreaming, but now I am a little concerned.  When it happens, I will start petting him lightly to kinda wake him up.

Is he just "dreaming"?  Or could this be seizures?  Should I be concerned?

(P.S. I did a search on the topic, but didn't find the answers I am looking for)

maybe he is just dreaming, does it only happen when he is sleeping? maybe give the vet a call, sounds to me like he is just dreaming though.

Beaux has crazy puppy dreams like that too... I was a little worried at first that it was a seizure too, but now I'm starting to realize that if he snaps out of it when you pet him- it's just an intense puppy dream!

My dog does the woo-woos in his sleep when he's having a super-puppy dream... It's so cute!

My 12 week old puppy Diesel does this too and I just thought it was dreaming because sometime he will bark softly when he is sleeping too.  He shakes in hi sleep all the time though.  Any input would be great if anyone else get this too.

Maple does that too! I was actually going to start a thread asking about this, so thank you :)  but yeah she pretty much does this 90% of the time and sometiems even makes wimping sounds (perhaps she is dreaming that she is barking) I'm pretty convinced that it's dreaming but my husband is a bit more concerned, I'm wondering what everyone else has to say  8O

Just sounds to me like he's dreaming. Donner does the same thing. Must be there dreams get pretty wild cuz they act like they are chasing something, legs get to going and sometimes if its a good one he will get to yipping. cracks me up. :D

That sounds like what Kiah does; she also makes a noise as she does it.  If we are in bed, sometimes she shakes the bed.  My pit bull used to do the same thing but not to the extent or as often as Kiah does it.  She also seems to do it more if she has been playing hard or really tired.  It scares me too and I will often wake her up.  If it was a seizure, I don't think waking him up would stop it but I am not an expert so I don't know for sure.

Thank you for all the positive replies.  I was getting scared for a minute!  Yeah, he only does it when he is sleeping.  He has scared me a couple times though with really intense shaking.  Glad to know it's "normal".

Tessie does the same thing too. Thanks for posting it because I was getting a little worried. She also sticks out her tounge and wiggles it too, it is the cutest things ever.
