Just wondering if anyone has ever shipped their boxer across states or more importantly across the border to Canada?

I know nothing about it and wondered a few things:
Can you just ship via plane or can it be done by ground?
How was your experience with it?
What did it cost to ship?
Anything information you can share about this and how your boxer got along (as I hear they can have problems due to the shortened muzzle) would be appreciated!

we had chloe shipped and it cost us an extra 275.00 and i would never do it again. it was a direct flight and somehow chloe ended up in nyc airport which is like 4 hrs from me. we sat there at the airport waiting and when her flight came in and i found out chloe wasnt on there... i freaked!! after the airlines started calling all over, we finally found her. they offered to put her on the next flight and i told them no way in hell. i remember cryin all the way there cause the thought of her sitting in a cage all alone and scared out of her mind broke my heart. how i only ended up with just the police escorting me out of the airport and not actually arrested i will never know but having chloe shipped was a bad experience for me.

Hanna was shipped and all went well.  Kash was flown in by the breeder and he was in the cabin with her.  She then stayed the long weekend to help me introduce.   I dont have issues with shipping as long as the temp is correct and they are in a climate controled cabin like Continental AIrlines.  With Hanna my friend's husband works for Continenatal and he made she she was taken care of for her flight.

It will go according to weight.  Also the breeder or person may charge for the crate and other stuff.  So IMO It could be anywhere from 200-500 but thinking depending on weight, and where its coming from the middle. Best to call the airline and ask questions on its Cargo shipping.  I really like Continental, they have a separate climate controlled cabin.

Lola was shipped to us in Boston via plane from Oklahoma.  It cost $250 but she was a 9 week old puppy.  She looked nervous when she first got off the plane and it took her the car ride home (20 minutes) to finally get her to come out of her crate.  But once she did she was fine, running all over the house flipping her stuffed animals around.

Are you getting a new dog?
