Hi,

Has anyone dealt with their pup smelling sour? Maxx is super stinky and I can’t figure out why! The smell gets on blankets, dog beds, even our clothes if he’s there long enough and returns within a day of bathing.

He doesn’t seem very itchy (doesn’t spend time licking his paws or itching himself), no eye discharge, no runny nose.

Thank you!

1. Seasonal or food allergies can cause inflammation of the skin which leads to excessive secretion of oil from certain glands in the skin, producing a musty smell. Poor diet can contribute to this condition and can also be the cause of other problems including yeast infections, which also give off a foul odor.
2.The odor might comes from your dog's anal glands. These small specialized sweat glands sit on each side of your dog's anus, and they release a secretion with this unpleasant odor.

Sometimes food or treats will make their skin have an odor as well as any moisture that trapped in the folds in the face under chin too I usually wipe down the faces under the chin and ears regularily
