GRRRRRRRR, I need to vent. We took Chloe for a ride tonight and on the way home hubby says he's hungry and wanted Wendy's. I pull up to the drive thru place the order and proceed to the window to pay. The lady working the window loved Chloe. As she comes back with our order and I turned my head for a quick second to hand the bag to hubby. Hubby yells NO! don't! I look back to see the lady giving Chloe a hamburger, didn't ask us first if it was okay or anything! Chloe by now has already ate half of it and I ripped the rest out of the ladies hand. I was so pissed...3 weeks of sticking to this elimination diet just went down the drain!!!!!!!!! We only had 5 more weeks to go and now it's back to 8 more weeks. I tried to explain to the lady she was on this diet and she laughed at me and said "my god. She is JUST a dog"  By now I am beyond pissed and hubby knew it because he kept saying let's go. I looked at her and said, to you she might be just a dog but to me she is my world and if we didn

 Wow....You certainly have a right to be upset and a little P-D off at the same time......I know I would be.....Hopefully there are no set backs.  Deep Breathing.............Some people huh.......
OMG that is terrible!! I think we can all say the same thing...........MOST WENDYS workers are dumb!!!!!!!!!!!!    lol I hope no more lumps show up!! Ours always ask first! I always say no even to the occasional chicken nugget only because Roxy might eat her hand if she ever stuck it through the window!!
What an idiotic person. I swear what is it with Wendys drive-thru people. I would have thrown the burger at the womans face like my friend has before, that was hilarious when that happened. I would have been pissed off myself. These are not just pur big dogs like she said but our worlds like you say. Im surprised you didnt knock her head off. I would have taken that up with a manager but then again its Wendys and they are retarded. Im sorry that you had to encounter a dumb no-sensed drive-thru employee. Did they at least get your order right?
While I completely understand you irritation with the rudeness of the situation...just for a little hope, we have Abby on a special diet also for ehr skin issues and a few times she has managed to get into her old container of food and it doesn't seem to have slowed the progress she has made. So maybe the little bit won't be too harmful. I will keep my fingers crossed...I know how hard it is! Specially with a mother in law who insists on feeding her EVERYTHING!
Hi Chloe's Mom!  First...its so weird....your Chloe looks sooooo much like my Chloe!  My boyfriend is working on getting pictures of our pup up and running......when we do I hope you will take a look!  I'd love to hear if you think ours looks likes your too!   What kind of diet is your dog on?  I'm curious.  People should be more respectful and ask if your dog can have a treat......people should never assume....we all know what they say about assume!  It is amazing how many take it for granted that it is "just a dog".  I've been lucky so far in that most ask me if they can give my dog a treat.
I thought it was just the wendys here!!

Boy am i glad i used to work in McD's! LOL!

Actually they didn't LOL.. Driving down the road and I told hubby I smell onions and he HATES onions with a passion and sure enough his burger had onions.  We were only a block or so from Wendy's and I told him..I'll gladly turn around and bring it back in for ya.. He knew what I was up to and said no..lol As much as he hates them, he picked them off..something I have never seen him do.
Awwwwwww poor hubby!! I would have taken it back and wacked her with it    lol
Well im sorry they were illiterate and got your order wrong also. Im the same way I hate onions myself. That sounds like Lauren telling me no dont worry about turning around to take it back because she knows when i am really upset and i will cause a scene.
[quote="mybox1\";p=\"14576":2ho42c8o]Hi Chloe's Mom!
Sorry, I think you're overreacting a little bit.  Ok, yes, the person should have asked your permission to give Chloe the treat, but at the end of the day, they were just being nice and they weren't to know that you had her on a special diet.  I think you should be happy that it wasn't one of the negative reactions we sometimes get from people about our dogs.
Speak of the devil...I had ABby and Brady with me last night...I blocked off hte downstairs foyer so they could either be in the office with me or upstairs in their playroom, which is exactly where I thought Abby was....without me knowing, she got through one of hte blocks and was in the mudroom eating out of her old food bin! She had been so sleepy, I thought she was just sleeping given that she was so quiet. Bad mommy I am!!! Well, we got our payback...she had us up every other hour to poop last night and she was drinking like mad so she was peeing on the off hours! poop girl...she probably has no idea that her belly ache has anything to do with her fun binge.

It was her old food, so we may have lost a bit of progress too with respect to the allergy!
We had a trip through burger king a month ago or so, where the drive through guy offered Diesel a hamburger. He did ask first, and had it on his own little platter.

I literally sat there for at least 1 minute contemplating the positives and negatives of giving him a grease covered hamburger.

But in the end, his excitement for it wore me down. lol

I'm very sorry those morons didn't ask you first, You really should call their corporate and complain. They wouldn't like the idea of giving away free food to dogs anyways. lol
To some maybe it does look like I over reacted.    But then again you haven
I don't think you over reacted at all. I react the same way when a stranger tries to give my kids candy. I wouldn't mind so much if they asked if they can have some first. I spend so much time trying to instill in them not to ever take candy or even to talk to strangers. So when they try to give them something it is very confusing to them. Unfortunately that is the type of world we live in today. My dog is one of my kids also. If you want to give my dog something, ask me first!
Hopefully this won't effect your efforts and Chloe will be fine.
One good thing about this....at least the woman at wendy's spoke english!  :p
I don't feel you over reacted, I would have felt the same way.  I had someone give Kiah a milk bone with my permission; didn't think it would be a problem but her tummy didn't like it and it came back up.  Now I don't want anyone to feed her anything; you just never know.
If you know her name, call the manager and explain what happened.  The tell them that she will get lumps and that any medical/vet bills will be forwarded to them.
well you know what they say.  make something idiot proof, and they'll make a better idiot.
No overreaction!  I think you did right.  Especially when she laughed at what you said.  She had no idea if she was allergic to anything.  You really ought to call the management immediately and discuss this with them.  They will be able to sit her down and explain the consequences of what she did.  What if she was so allergic to something that she died??  She also had no right to laugh at you!  Grrr!

Hopefully this will not cause Chloe to break out again!  Good luck and give her a hug from us!
