Beckham's stomach does that if we force him to sleep in and we feed him later than usual (only Saturdays). Usually if his stomach is really loud and noisy he'll refuse to eat. We were told to give him a dose of pepto (B is close to 50lbs and we give him about 1/2 Tbsp) to settle his stomach and once that takes effect he's starving.
Not sure if your girl also refuses to eat when her tummy is upset; but that's what works for us.
