The vet has told us many times that maddy and tink needed a bit of a diet, basically because they are TUBS!  They both needed to be around the 60 pound mark.

Congrats to Maddy, shes at the 60 pound mark.

Not so much for Tink.. Shes a whole 73 pounds!!! SHES A TANK!!

I've been trying really hard to limit the treats, walk them more (Hasnt helped with the freezing rain winter bit) Do you guys have any helpful tips that could help my monster dogs? lol

Congrats Maddy! Wish I could say i'm at my goal weight! haha.
Tinky... if you use PB in her kongs, maybe you could switch to low fat, or even use natural applesauce and mashed bananas or plain fat free yogurt instead.
If you use "biscuit" type treats you could switch that to boiled chicken, fat free hot dogs, or apple.
Good luck Tink!

does she like the laser pointer?  Lol...I found that's a good exerciser inside in the crap winter weather...

Also there are some treats out there designed to be low fat/low protein....

Meals only, no treats unless training, no table scraps, lots of exercise; sort of like human diets!  Bummer, huh?!

I'd limit treats, and make take longer walks.  If you have a fenced in area or a dog park, that might be a good alternative.  Charlie actually little a bit thin to me, but he eats well, and eats the highest amount suggested for his weight.  Sadie could probably stand to lose about 5-10lbs.  She's short, but very bulky/muscular.

Yea for Maddy! Tink, well it may just take her a bit longer...Any treats, I would do natural, banana, apple, carrots, very small amounts...Samson doesn't get many treats either as he is also on a diet..He's lost about 5 lbs, but at his age, I take every pound I can get...He doesn't lose weight quickly and also doesn't exercise much, our walks have been severely curtailed due to his arthritis..Maybe a supplemental walk might be good as well
