I have a furminator as well.  Haven't had the chance to use it on Cooper yet.  In another thread I'd mentioned this along with a knock-off that's available at Bed, Bath and Beyond for about 1/3 the price.  I don't think the build quality is going to be even close, but it may work the same.

I THINK they've started carrying them at Petsmart.  When I bought mine, it wasn't really being carried anywhere mainstream.  Had to look around before finding it.

I bought the medium dog one for approx $45-50 when I got it.  The "As Seen On TV" model at BBB is about $15 so if you're hesitant to buy because of the price, maybe you can try this one out instead.
