Well...
Jetta has been pretty bad with recall from the get go...we've been afraid of how Bo would be if we took him outside...

One reason we bought this house is that there is a wide open field just next door (a park...but mostly a field) and we were hoping to let Jetta...now Bo too run around in there...1/2 of the field is fenced in the other is not...


Well..today we decided to let them go...MAN is Bo FAST!  He looked almost like a greyhound out there...and poor Jetta just couldn't keep up...not even when Bo slowed it down...

The good thing is...that whenever Bo got too far away...we would call him and he would circle back...he would not necessarily come right up to us...but get within a foot or two..then when we told him to sit...he did...I was very impressed since the previous owners said they never really worked with him...he seems very attached and not intersted in running away or going very far from us...Jetta doesn't run away either..she is content to be near us and Bo...but she will run up to people we pass to play with them..We are working on that with her.

They both cuddled up with me on the couch after the run...Bo on my legs Jetta on my belly, lol

congrats! make sure you do lots of positive reinfrocement when he comes. Try to get him to fully come back to you though. Reese did this when we first started recall, i was stoked! then it became a game to her because i never forced her to come fully back. 2-3 months later we are back on a leash b/c she stopped coming back if she didnt "feel" she was ready. She would come as bo does...about a foot away..sit when told and when i attempt to walk up to her she would bolt away. Sighhhh, she cant stand me now that she is back on the leash...but i cant risk my baby ya know?

lol, yeah...Bo does that...you move closer to him...he jumps backwards and makes another circle...but he never goes away or to the street...just circles us, lol...kinda funny atm...Just looking at the pic of Reese in your siggy...she looks like a troublemaker, lol.   Jetta...she just goes wherever Bo goes...she's like his miniature half sized shadow...
