Struddell was a solid lean female at 65lbs. I only became really aware of how small her feet were when buying boots? Our Euro has his dew claws. He has really big feet, and does use the extra nail to stabilize him on ice and snow. This helps if they are doing any tracking work. I prefer them without because they can snag on stuff.
You should be able to get a look at the registration papers for the puppies. I would want them to go back for at least six generations. I think it's proper to ask a breeder who they use for veterinary care, and if it's okay for you to contact them directly! You'd have your puppy seen by your veterinarian asap.
The Boxer drop down menus just wasn't working?? Her feet were just freaking small! Long slender legs and tiny feet seem to be the American thing? I had to measure her feet to fit boots and still found it hard to believe how small her feet were!
The Boxers I worked with, I never noticed there feet? Have to look at our friends dog closer next time.
Interesting about the dew claws?? Never knew they had a use?? It depends on the dog (breed) I guess?? GSD's keep them but there dew claws are solidly attached. It looks more like a thumb. It's not all floppy and funny looking like some dogs are.
I don't think the dogs I worked with had them but yet again...I did not look at there feet!
