I finally got him to sit still for a while.  So yeah I took him to the vet today and everything came back good.  He's as healthy as can be (i assumed this anyway).

He was a little shaky there to be honest.  I never saw him act the way he did there...fidgety, didn't want to get on the scale, and every time the vet would touch him, he'd get scared.

It's funny because at the scale in petco, he ran right on it and layed down lol.

I took him to the park for about an hour before we went though so he would be tired out...he ran in the mud the whole time haha...it was so cute.

aw that's good :) glad everything turned out well. yeah i assume with petco, he's more at "free will", so less intimidated :) debo gets extra excited at the vet, but still shakey, like "what are they gonna do to me???" :)
Great picture and funny story.  I think it's the smells at the vet that freak them out.  Glad he checked out okay.
Glad to hear he is doing well.  I think it may be the smells too!
happy to hear he is healthy.
Glad to hear that Area got a clean bill of health...Good idea letting him have a romp in the park before going, burn off some of that excess energy! Just a thought, it could very well be that he's had a bad experience at the vet prior to you owning him and it still lingers...Buck & Tia loved our vet, they both acted like fools when I took them in, even when sick. Samson & Angel also do very well..
Yeah...I think last time he was at the vet, he was put under and had his manhood removed...so he has a right to not like the place, or the smells or whatever lol.

I'm actually going to be fencing in our back yard so that we can have one exercise session out there per day and one at the park...going to the park twice a day is rough lol.

It's not that he's not well-behaved enough to not have the fence, but sometimes I think his attention span is so short, he hears me call him, he slows down, then he forgets and starts running after whatever it was.  He's like an eternal puppy...but we've been working on that too.
Boxers definitely have the "selective hearing" thing down to a science..Teaching "recall" would help a lot. There's a sticky in the training section that you might find helpful. That's an ongoing project with Angel
He looks wonderful!  Glad he had a great check-up!
Glad to hear everything went good at the vet. Hank dont get scared at the vet, he just poops in the floor everytime I take him. I guess he is paying them back for sticking things up his butt.

You know...I'm lucky in that my boyfriend can give my Boxers their shots at home.  They don't get the full effect of the vet this way!  So, right now they LOVE our vet.  However, when my older dog was alive, boy she HATED the vet. Just walking in and she would freak out!  I always felt so horrible for here!  It is kinda like my boy with their pediatrician!
