They said the neighbor saw them carrying a shotgun, how in the world do you not call 911?  That is so sad, there is a special place for people like that.

I feel so horrible for this man.  I can't imagine why the neighbor didn't call the police or 911.  I hope they find the burglars who did this and that they are severely punished not just for the B & E but also for killing the family furbaby.
