Just a quick update to say all went fine
. He was booked in at 08h30 and i picked him up at 14h00. The vet let us stay whilst he was anaethetized - hubby gave him lots of kisses and was calling him "Daddy's little baby" - when we got home he said the vet must have thought he was a right softy
- poor Voltaire was lying there with his tongue hanging out and his eyes open...i spent the morning fretting over whether he'd feel anything or not
In anycase he was completely happy and full of bounce when he saw me (Voltaire - not the vet - though he's quite nice too  - haha) The vet did say it was more than likely a cancerous tumour but i was expecting that anyway and i don't see the point of a biopsy to confirm. It's gone and i'll be checking to catch any others as early as possible. In the meantime he has 6 stitches with a sticking plaster on top - i had to add that as he goes absolutely ballistic if i put the flower head collar on. Then he starts a 5 day course of anti-biotics on wednesday. Thanks again - i'm sure all your positive vibes helped
.
