Wasn't sure exactly where to put this...

But, I just wanted to tell everyone here of a very heroic Boxer boy in our immediate family named Max...some of you have seen photos of Max, the distinguished old man at our family boxer reunion...Well, last weekend, my brother in law was out mowing the lawn...their new baby(Mic and Indy's sis Sophie) was barking away as usual...but, Max normally just watches quietly...which is what alerted my BIL...Max began barking hysterically...would not stop...kept lunging at the mower...Claude just could not figure out what was going on, so he shut the mower off and stepped down from it only to find that the engine was ON FIRE!!!  He had a full tank of gas in that thing...if Max hadn't warned him it could have been VERY bad...as it was, he was able to put the fire out and all was well!

Yeah for Max...you go old BOY! Way to save Daddy!

He is gorgeous, isn't he? I LOVE his eyes...I have always felt like you could see the wisdome of the ages in Max's eyes...
Way to go Max! What a clever boy he is!  :D

Max is amazing, what a smart guy he is.
Glad the your BIL knew enough that because it was not natural behavior for Max to be barking that he decided to stop and check on what was wrong, but sounds like Max deserves a few extra treats this week
What a good boy, that's sirloin steak behavior
WTG Max!!!!  Your really a hero and I'd say he deserves a big reward.  That could have been an awful accident.
Wow!  Great story...good thing Max was around.  Good job boy! :emtthumbs:

Max is 10 years old and has never barked at the mower! That was a very good indicator of a problem...we are sure glad Max was even OUT there with him...could have easily been in the house, out of the sun!
That story gave me chills..What a great boy Max is. Please give him extra hugs from Chloe and I. Way to go sweetheart, your a hero!
What a great story, YAY for Max! He is a very handsome senior also!  :D
