We have recently adopted a boxer female from the local humane society.  Being a ex-vet tech, i know they come with issues.  She is crated during the day in one of those heavy duty airline type crates( that she HATES!!!)  She has recently developed these wierd hard bumps on her head.  not very big, white in color, and nothing comes out of them...yes, i tried to squeeze them :) they dont seem to bother her, but i dont want them to get out of control.  any ideas of what it could be??  they are not anywhere else on her body, just on the top of her head.  i know she panics when she is in the crate and drools alot, but eventually settles down.  so if it was an allergy to the plastic it would be other places too, right??

first of all welcome to the forum and congrats to you on adopting a boxer.
I'm not sure what they could be...perhaps cysts?
Sharon is our resident medical advice woman (haha) she might know a little better.
enjoy your new fur-baby...be sure to post some pictures of your new addition!

It could be anxiety induced hives...Try some hydrocortisone cream on them and see if they go away.  SHe could be rubbing her head in the kennel as well....This is kind of an odd one...can you post a pic of it?

Hi there ive the most adoring, affectionate, loving pitbull who appears to have either identical or very similar issue you experienced with your baby and enquiring if you ever sourced or diagnosed exactly what it was with your boxer. Are you able to shed any light re the next steps required for action?
I hope your little darling has settled and intergrated nicely with your family, a clean bill of health and happy.
Any information you share will be most appreciated. HUGE THANKYOU in advance. Cheers and all the best Sassy and Rocco🐾

Those have the look of leftover scabs from hives. Has she had an outbreak of hives recently? Many allergies cause them as well as Lepto vaccine.

Hi there, i very much appreciate you sharing opinion, thankyou. Attached are photos of Rocco's problem area, hopefully they are clear enough to see the issue. They are more like tiny bald spots that start as a raised pimple like bump and the bald spots appear to have prong like marks, he is not excessively itching and recently turned 2 years old.
Cheers and thanking you in advance, Sassy and Rocco🐾

Those are some strange marks indeed. Do you happen to have a Veterinary dermatologist in your area? It may be worth trying one of those to see what their opinion is of them maybe they could do a skin scraping to find out as well. There are a wide number of skin conditions and allergies that can cause this kind of thing its just the question of weaning them out. Is he banging his head on his crate or anything like that?
