:) They are. I am just praying she is not. The breeder said she would be able to tell around 5 weeks. She is only 2 weeks now. She said she has never had a white pup that was deaf. It would be my luck that she will be I hope not. I dont know what they chances are. I have a white boy Rudy and he is fine...So I just pray everything will be with her
I hope everything is fine also...good luck to you.....they are so pretty!! :)

Chances of whites being deaf are about 20%. Hopefully you are in the 80, but I'm sure you could easily work with one that was hearing imparied.

They are very cute!

I didnt see Spiritfaith was it her dog? I love drake he is so cute! Yes Laurie is very nice I liked her the first time I talked to her. She loves her pups :) Did you have Drake sent to you on the plane? If you did how was he when you got him.mine because I am getting her Feb 14 and I hope the I worry about weather is ok. I notice you are from Canada so you have cold weather too! I cant wait to see my pup.
Spiritfaith is another breeder. They bred with a bitch from spiritfaith with Benji from Topline. Long story how we got our lovely little Drake but yes, Drakey came on the plane...he's a well travelled boy! He flew from Laurie to Heather in Mass (hannabanana), Heather drove him to Portland where she met up with us and we drove back to where I'm from in NB. So the little boy doesn't mind travel I'll tell you that! lol He was a little tired and a bit skinny when we got him but he was back to normal in no time!

Bet you can't wait till Feb 14th!!!

Do not buy from laurie roberson (topline boxers)

I bought a "show prospect" from Laurie. She was sweet as pie through the sale but I NEVER got his AKC papers, despite the fact that I had him actively showing with a handler. He was with the handler for a little over 2 months and went to 25 shows. Still no papers and no return phone calls or emails. Finally, I told her I wasn't going to pay for him to be shown if I didn't even own him officially through AKC. No response. I brought the dog home. He was nuts. Threw himself against the crate door, screamed at the top of his lungs. NUTS. I told her, she ignored me. Then I find out his litter brother is the same way. Finally after realizing that she was never going to respond, I sent her an email telling her that he needs to be neutered and placed. He ended up being way to small to show anyway and I thought maybe neutering him would help his anxiety (which it has). Guess what, she responded and said to go ahead and neuter him and find him a home. HUH? I didn't breed the dog! I have almost $4000 in the dog and she wants me to keep footing the bill? She won't take him back unless I pay $400 to ship him back. Doesn't care if he goes to rescue. So there ya have it.

Your story doesn't quite make sense. You would need the papers to be able to show. How did you get away with showing with no papers?

IMO white boxers should not be sold at any less of a price ( nor should the be sold for more) that the standard pet quality price that a breeder sets... they are no less of a boxer than the other pet quality boxers being offered... it is a great disservice to the white boxers offered and to the breed as a whole... whites are a part of the breed like it or not....

Now show quality/ breed quality should have higher prices as their value to the breed and potential enhancement there of should warrant higher prices... they also serve as a deterrent (IMO) to BYB and less than reputable breeders... Combining purchase price finishing costs and health tests prior to breeding BYB and less than reputable breeders simply do not like handling the costs potentially over $10,000. These costs are therefore reflected in the cost of Show and breed quality pups... again IMO

and mostly... white boxers need loving homes capable of tending to their needs and whims... anyone that demands a lower price suggests to me that they are willing to cut corners on their care... they would not get a pup from me at all let alone a white.

NOW if there are health issues... then (again IMO) lower prices are acceptable to offset some first year care... that being said the breeder should disclose the nature of upcoming costs of ownership and put emphasis on the purchase of puppy insurance or dedicated savings plans intended to handle such expenses.

play nice peeps lol I said it was my opinion

in Canada its done with Event registration numbers and performance event numbers (ERN and PEN) but i haven't read that part of the post as of yet...

oh yea... there are some horror stories out there but take them all with a grain of salt... where there are two or more they are more valid... ten or more run for the hills... dozens... they should have been expelled from the kennel club and chased out of the area by an angry mob lol

We are in Alberta and I was wondering what the average cost of a purebred white puppy would go for? We have just bought one and paid $1000.00. She is a registered breeder with CKC. Did we pay the average price?

I know its the US ckc that is worthless do you know if her parents had all the health testing done? that would be the big factor for me getting a papered boxer ( mine are rescues so who knows where they are from and two of them have health issues )
