Of your dogs???   I am in my house.    My husband hours (construction) were slow this winter so he was home with the kids for a bit, and they like to take advantage of him, by weeks end he is all dogged out - its too funny.

So just wondering if its a join effort, one sided - come on tell your stories!!

Like when they do something bad, they are always "MY" dogs, but if they are good, then they are "Our" dogs ha ha ha ha

hmmmmm :think: sounds familiar!! I am primary care giver to our dogs. My bf lets them out while i am at work, but i feed them and make sure water is out. walk them, train them, everything. If they get in trouble then they are "my" dogs aswell, but if they are being good then they are "his" dogs!! my butt they are MY dogs and no matter what ever happens between us....they will continue to be mine

well i am at school and my bf is in indiana... when we are together w/ dungy he will do everything (ITS AMAZING)... like he will wake up and take dungy out in the morning and he always asks me "do u think he needs this, do u think he needs to go out" lol it is hilarious.  Though when he leaves and dungy does something bad and i tell him i say YOUR dog lol.

Im just waiting till i graduate and go to grad school... then we will be at the same school and same house

We discused this before we got Hondo. I wante everyone one to know what we were getting into before we got him. I happy to say everyone in my home does their fair share with him, even my 5 yr old daughter.

Me.  If I ask my husband to feed the dogs he acts like I'm asking for something major..............So it is all up to me.

But that's okay there my dogs and they know who is their momma!

That's so fuuny, Paco is always "my dog" when he's bad. I'm definately more the caretaker, feeding, walks, disciple, ect. He listens much better to me and it drives my poor hubsnand crazy. He's the "play" guy but Paco is definately my baby.

I am the main care taker of Lette...Hubby loves her and plays with her all the time when he is home, but as far as feeding, walking, vet trips...its me... lol, but I dont mind it, cause I just cannot get enough of Miss LEtte

Well, Ashley, being the little traitor she is, looks to me for food,in and out the door for potty, her training, and care ( the crop issue has been a hoot..my guy looks at the posts and tape like they are going to bite him ). He will sit and ley her paw the door to get out..and when I get upset..he tells me..well YOU have to tell me when she is scratching ( Ummm what are you DEAF???)
BUT..went its sleepy time..time to play..when he walks in..you would think he is GOD....<GAG>...and she acts like I don't exist to top it all.
He threatened to take her to Montana for his summer job ( gone 6-8 months )but when I told him ok..then YOUR gonna find a Vet, Your going to have her appointments, and spaying done..your going to explain to the Hotels when she BARKS..He backed down....( I think he was joking anyhow..she was MY x-mas present..and he can't handle anyone but himself to take care of ).
She wont leave his side when he is here..we will see if she remembers him in November when he comes home!! HA HA

I'm the main caretaker but also the push over.  I'm told I would let Rocky get away with murder...lol...When he's wanting attention and starts barking my b/f has to tell him to be quiet because if I do it he just keeps on barking.

It's a 50/50 split in our house. Lori works 1st shift and I work 2nd. I do the vet visits which I don't mind doing. In the winter I walk the dogs in the morning providing it's not blistering cold out or raining. Summertime they usually get 2 walks per day. Lori does the other walk in the p.m.

it's definitely me, I feed her taker her out most of the time, do the training, and the scolding lol.  the husband plays with her and naps with her but I got him to go to our training classes with us so I think he'll be more involved now

All during the day until about six when Dylan gets home I'm head dog herder!  After six I do homework and Dylan becomes the one in charge (but I still help)

This is a funny topic because I was just thinking about this today. .... My b/f loves Tessie to death and only gets to see her on the weekends because right now he live 200 miles away. When he is here to her I may as well be dead... She goes to him for eveerything and when it is time to go to bed she will actually get between us and lay agianst him, like she is trying to seperate us and say "He is all mine".. Then during the week she loves me because he is not here.

Oh it's definitely me! Hubby likes playing with Daisy and she's always "daddy's girl" when it suits him, but the serious stuff like feeding, walking, training etc. is all up to me!
