i have a 1 year old pup who was hit by a car a couple months ago.   his injured side is still smaller than his healthy side.   he's still improving, but slowly.   i'm wondering if neutering him now will slow down his recovery (or make things worse?).   will the testosterone decrease make a difference?  thanks!

IMO you should wait until he is recovered to neuter him.  If he is not healty yet then he may have problems during surgery or recovering. Also, when you do have him neutered remind the vet not to use Acepromazine.

I think they should be "healthy" before any type of surgery....I am guessing you mean smaller on one side from muscle loss???
