Well today spring fever must have affected my thinking because I took the plunge and left both dogs out of the crate long enough to go to the store, 40 minutes. Donner has always been a good boy about being home alone, and I've sworn Blitz would be an old, old dog before I tried it with her 8O Guess what......? They did GREAT! Whoo hooo. Good thing I bought 2 new toys just in case :lol: I know, I know next time the couch will be shredded and the cats will be attached to the ceiling but today, I'm celebrating :wink:

Yay Blitzen!  Personally I think Charlie would lay on the couch or our bed.  Sadie would get into stuff.  About the only option I'd have for her would be to put her in a room that has nothing but her toys and walls.

yay blitzen!  We leave binga out in the kitchen now.  Its blocked off but she has that whole area now and not just her crate.  She could EASILY get over the gate, but she doesn't.  She is a good girl.  My hubby has left Bear out a few times and he did good too!  No messes or destruction.  Our vaccum is in there and so are some 12 packs of cokes.  None of that was touched.

Such a good feeling to have isn't it?!

One of these days I am going to try it with Kiah again, she did good the first time I tried and it got a little worse each time so it was back to the crate.  Keegan is fine but Kiah is too antsy.  I am going to get some child gates and section off a part of the kitchen.  I am going to have to brace them somehow because I know they will play and they play so hard they actually move my love seat.

If I leave Ashley out to walk to the mail box..you would think the WORLD is coming to an end..she would first tear down the blinds trying to find me..then pull out EVERY toy..then God I sudder to think...Probably try to scratch the door down..I think she is a bit attached to me..little bugger!!
