Very sad to report that our almost 5 year old Boxer was diagnosed with Intestinal Lymphoma. Open to thoughts and advice to help her eat. Does anyone have experience with a feeding tube? The Oncologist does not recommend chemo as the diagnosis is very poor. We are waiting until Friday to put her on prednisone as her intestines need to heal from the biopsy surgery. She is getting Cerinia for vomiting and nausea. We do have her on an appetite stimulant. This is so heartbreaking. She does not appear to be in pain. Happy to be with us, tail wagging etc. She is so skinny now.

I'm very sorry to hear of your diagnoses. No, you can not use a feeding tube on an adult dog. Sadly this is all a part of lymphoma. Once she is on prednisone that might encourage her to eat. Try making her up a home made soup/ stew. Use beef broth, carrots, potatoes, green beans, either cooked ground beef or stewing beef. Use no seasonings as that can irritate her tummy. You can also add in cooked pieces of beef liver.

She is able to start prednisone tomorrow. Hoping it helps. Yes I have cooked so many things, stews, broths, etc. Even put them in the food processor trying it like baby food. Still barely touches anything. Praying for a miracle.
