Well, yeah.

And I'm gonna try and "dial it down." Although by may standards, I don't feel I've been too outlandish?? But, finding one self .. "overwhelmed" is nothing new?? It's what you do once you clearly understand that, "You" have a problem here??? Is what makes a difference.

And yeah ... my bad, cuz "Find a Trainer" can be a valid answer! But all "trainer's" are not the same?? And if you are starting from ground "Zero??" They all look the same??? That's what I was "trying to say" when I went "nut's" again ... "still??" So, my bad.

So you know, nothing wrong with "finding a trainer" if that is what the OP, needs to do??? No one knows "everything about every dog" ... uh apparently.
I did much better with a "get a right" out the gate case or someone is gonna get hurt dog! Then I am "currently" with my regular dog "No Recall" case "Bella!" But she is getting better. At any rate hopefully the "OP" will chime in??? And I'll be good.

I'm just kinda a "hard core" live no dog behind kinda guy! I just tend to it take it, too far at times ... my bad,

So to the OP ... "Please Come Back."

Thank you everyone for the advice. The more I think about it I think she has separation anxiety and I don't know how to help her with that. I know it will take time and i just really want a quick fix. Even Though i know that is not realistic.

Oh your back??

And unfortunately it sounds like nothing has changed??? Have you at least tried feeding her in the crate??? And "seemingly" unrelated but you can you walk her on a loose leash??? And while "walking" is seemingly unrelated?? If you have a dog/puppy with "Behavioral Issues." Being able to "walk" them on a loose leash is a "MUST."

And yes it is "Separation Anxiety" and yes there are thing's you can do to help her get over it. Walk her (on a loose leash) do "Sit on the Dog" and "Train Place." Those are the big "three" and providing "Structure in the home" would be the forth but depending on the dog and there "issues??" That one can have some slack given ... apparently.

But I think the Crate is your biggest issue?? Now frankly ... I'd roll hard on her little butt. And I'd be quite surprised if she was throwing a freaking in Crate freak out after a day or two?? Cuz there would be "Consequences" for misbehaving in the crate! But hey not my dog.

So for a ... "softer approach"" See here.:

That should work also, cuz you know there is more than one way to cook an egg.

Hm, OK I got a "plan B.1" here! Since the whole goal, here is in fact to help "Boxer" owners with there dog's. IT really does not matter "how or who," as long as method's are safe and sane! As there "ARE" a lot of quacks out there!

But you know "find a trainer" can be a lot like "buy the "best food?" There are a lot of choices out there and if one has no basis for comparison IE experience, ...it all looks pretty much the same???

And there are no shortage of "horror stories out there!" And lot's of those sigh are on Germanshepardforum also! Ton's of dollars down a rat hole and the dog often came back and thinks got worst after a short period of time?? When I had my issues's with "Rocky" that was one of my fears?? So you know I figured "no one can solve my dog's "issues" better than me???" So you know ... I'll figure it out??? And "we" did and the rest is history.

Ugh, I can go on and on and I have. But suffice to say had I chose "Now" that his "issues" were apparent (after seven months of no issues ... that I saw?? To send him back to rescue were he came from ... he'd have been PTS! That rescue had neither the time or skill to deal with dog's like him. So you know it was "me" or die??

I did learn a lot but I also put "slight spins" on basic concepts, "Who Pet's my puppy or dog??" And stumbled unto other concepts ie "The Place Command." And "Sit on the Dog," to name a few. I only knew those things "Worked." But I did not understand how or why??? And finding out both why what I did with my (packing fighting , Human Aggressive Monster Worked,) and what I had done wrong became my new goal.
Cuz over all ... I found it to be not that hard?? And uh LOL, PO as it happened.

So now life was good for Rocky Struddell and I, still had no idea why I did worked?? But hey whatever and then one day I stumbled onto Germanshepardforum, and the "Aggression Forum???" And I was like OMG!!! Turns out Rocky was not only, not that unusual?? But in fact ... not that bad??? Cuz it least he was not coming "Up Leash on me???" There were/are a lot of owners out there ... way over there head! And some had trained to find a trainer and failed at that also??

But and back on point my take was slightly different and while I had lot's of answer. I could not say why?? "This" would work ... exactly?? So in trying to explain "why do this??" I did start to find "trainer's" who's work I had duplicated ... without knowing???

And one of them was "Bailiff" the "Mal" guy on there and he provided insight into "Sit on the Dog." And then a found a "trainer online" that showed it! And all that info and "The Place Command" things that "every dog" should know is in my thread here.:
https://www.boxerforums.com/training...e-command.html

And as I dug further for "proof of concept as it were" I started to discover "lot's" of trainers that could deal with uh "more difficult cases!"

And if they could not or don't deal with dog's with uh serious freaking issues??? I "don't" re-post there work! Cuz you know ... they gotta be better than me or why bother??

Although, sigh it seem's I am more of a "Behaviorists" than a "Dog Trainer??" Similar but uh different??? But that's another story so I'll end this post here and get back on point in the next post ... cuz I am going somewhere here.

Boy ... I do go on!!

I guess that has not change??? Sooo to my point and since the OP does list there location, I figure what the heck ... "I" would see what "Trainers" are near them???

So I look myself to see ... "well where would I go??" And stumble across ... K9 Connection?? Hmm, that sounds familiar to me ... but why???

So I keep reading, and then I find the answer!! Tyler Muto!! LOL ... so yes, I do know that guy! As do many who have followed my postings. Cuz Tyler Muto is the guy who rehabbed this dog, meet Shelly! :

And on a scale of 1 to 10 ... Shelly with D/A is a 10!! And on an unrelated note ... if one just goes "blindly into a Dog Park?? They may very well run across a "Shelly??" Cuz not every owner gives a crap what there dog does in a Dog Park?? IE my dog's problem are not my problem ... they are your problem. I'm just saying.

I also post the work from another trainer that Dealt with H/A and he is from out of LA and New Orleans. And that Dog (A Tibetan Mastiff) was also H/A and about 125 lbs!! So meet Gus.:

So yeah ... and compared to Gus my WL GSD, with his pack fighting, send me to the hospital for stitches (breaking up pack fight's) and then H/A issues??

LOL well as Jeff Gellman ... this guy, would say, "Lady ... your problems are not that bad!"
https://www.solidk9training.com/ and here is his work with Brick.:

But my point is ... everyone of those guy's, well I wound up unknowingly at the time?? Did what they do??? And yet another trainer I discovered was "Larry Khon" and while I do flatter myself ... I do to a great extent seem to much favor and do follow his mode of working with dog's?? Ie ... "Less is more???"

And his "You Tube Site is here.:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCor...YbHCrOa3nddr6g

And with his site as much as my PIA Bella seems to be with her "lack of recall" and that is "on me!" But I did use Larry Khon and Bella does know the heel flip!! On recall ... so you know clearly she is not that far of course???

But back on point ... "I feel I know how to "find a trainer.:" Cuz I look for trainers that ... well do what I did with "Rocky!" And all of those guy's do just that! They all train Place and some do "Sit on the Dog" also but no point in quibbling. And as it happens Solid K9 Connection; is in the OP's back yard!

But yeah not exactly cheap??
https://connectwithyourk9.com/traini...ivate-lessons/

But my point with all of this ... is although, not everyone can or wants to "DIY" there dog. If you do ... you don't need to go to uh the ER first like me.

Cuz all of these guy's give there work away for free for those that can! Case in point and ... in "Buffalo City" is here .:
https://connectwithyourk9.com/methods/

And many of Tyler's clips, I have posted, on here! And yeah I do consider $875 , for six lessons on the high end of the scale?? But If I were asked for a "recommendation and money no object??" Uh you can't do better.

But in the real world ... budget is a constraint, for most of us??? You already bought the puppy (OP) and now this??? Well you know, there are always "new trainers getting started?? And if one uses K9 Connection as a base?? Most like there are also complainant trainers in "Buffalo" that are doing "similar thing's??" Now I don't know cuz I saw ... K9 Connection and Tyler Muto and I stopped looking!

And he is pretty much the Ferrari of Dog Training! But hey one of my other older cars is a "Porsche." So what do I know.
