Default excited peeing and peeing while walking

My Ellie will be 3 in April. Spayed, very healthy active girl. She's pretty much always been one to pee when excited. But in the last year, not so much when company comes over. I've got a camera in my house and have watched her jump down off my sofa when she hears us get home, and boom.....pee on my sofa. Dogs are intelligent, they know our schedule, they know its just us. She doesnt pee when she greets us at the door.

Next, again watching her on the camera, as shes sliding/walking off the back of my sofa onto the seat, as her back legs start coming down, she starts peeing, then leaves a 6 ft pee trail behind the sofa and acts like she doesnt know its even happening. I'll mention that this is her "spot" that she sleeps all day. People will say that a dog wont pee in their bed, that tends to be her ONLY spot she pees. Thoughts?

I think you should try to get a pee sample from her first and take it to the vet to have it checked for infections sometimes this is the problem the way I do that is get a longer handled soup ladle dedicated to dog LOL and have someone walk her and someone come up behind her and put the ladle under her when she starts to pee and put it in a ziplock back and take it to the vet. If no infection maybe she needs to go out more often? This also can be excitement. I would have her urine checked first though.

She could also be spay incontinent or simply have a weak bladder. I would speak to my vet, and definitely check for a uti but if its regularly happening I would tend to think she is a bit incontinent. We once took in a rescue, she was very well house broken but she would sometimes just pee and didn't even realize it was happening. I think the Vet put her on a medication called "Proin". It worked no more leaky bladder.

I have a good friend who has a female boxer who for the first 4 years of her life had a incontinence problem she would leak when she slept I think it has something to do with spaying they are stretched too tight on the table when its done and it damages the bladder. My friends dog was also having frequent UTI's. She put her on a cranberry supplement for dogs I think its called craniden or something like that and she stopped with the UTI's and her incontinence has improved not gone but the UTI has to be treated first if there is one.
