I had a freak experience with Ralph as a pup.

His "crate" was a large wire dog cage. We were using it when he was a pup.

One morning I woke to screams I didn't know a dog could scream! I ran thru and somehow he managed to trap his jaws in the wIre and he was panicking.

He was lying on side and with one of the bars between his teeth. When he tried to open his jaws to get that bar from his mouth he was hitting the other bars of the cage and was stuck.

I got him out easily no problems. But if I had been out of the house he's have been stuck in that position.

After that. Cage was collapsed and removed from my house.

Freak accident I know. But still a consideration.

The root casue of that issue is "separation anxiety!" If the dog is not calm in the cart, he needs to be corrected! If the dog is not acting like a tool in the crate ... that does not happen ... pretty much that simple.
