Has anyone used both Acana and Taste of the Wild and compared the difference in the poop department?
My boxer girl has been on raw for the past 2 years and she did really well on it, but for various reasons I want to do a kibble diet for a while and see how it goes.
Both my dogs have been on Taste of The Wild for the past week and both are doing great on it. However, my boxer poops a lot, relative to her food intake - she currently gets appx 2.3 cups per day: 1 cup in the am, 1.3 cups in the evening. I found that any more than that and her stools would become soft and she would poop way too much. The 2.3 seems to be enough for her to be happy, and for her to have good poop and not so much of it. She's 46 pounds. My poodle mix does not have the excess poop problem, he poops the same as he did when he was on raw, about 2-3 times per day. But my boxer poops a lot more, usually more than 4 times per day.
I'm wondering if Acana would make any difference in how much she poops. I have been hesitant to try Acana because of the cost, and because my vet advised against high-protein kibble for her. But now I'm wondering if I should try it out.
