Hi my name is Lori. Almost 3 years ago my son asked me if he got a dog,if I would puppy sit while he was at work. I thought what a great way to get to see my son a lot more. So I said yes. The only problem was,when Buddy would go home,we missed him. So,in March 2019 we got Samantha,we call her Sammi. Sammi had her first heat cycle in February 2020 and hasnt had a heat cycle since. How often do they usually go into heat and is this something I should be worried about

They have a heat cycle about 6 months apart usually 2 times a year but not all dogs adhere to this!
The cycle itself will last anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks. This will happen about 2 times a year. Each Boxer is different.
