Black tiger striped is just someone's person opinion on their description of what brindle is. You will also see in Europe they call fawns, reds or yellows depending on what country they are from. The same goes with tiger stripe aka brindle.

Yea, I get the red. My Mo was a fawn but we used to call him Clifford, the big red dog, cause he really was red.

I think I shall call Porter the half white faced semi flashy redish fawn.
Fiona shall be one brown eyed, two brown eared alibaster.

or...just don't call them late for dinner.

I think an good example is the sealed brindle..Most people say oh thats a black boxer or looking for a black boxer..because of the way it looks, when infact its a sealed brindle.. yes? no? IDK
Yes I think that's a great example. When people don't know the actual terms they just make up their own by what they see and what they know.

I agree that this was just this person's own made up way of describing the markings. I've been researching bearded dragon breeders in preparation for my next one and I'm finding this same thing is very common with reptiles too. There are so many beardies out there who look identical, but are "labeled" differently mattering on who the breeder is.

WOW, Brutus Josef, you really started something , lol.. although, i am finding some of the comments amusing, i dont think any one really gave him the answer he was looking for.. My Sam is black with fawn stripes.. so is that just 'brindle' or is there a certian type of 'brindle' i would love to have a boxer the opposite of him.. fawn with black stripes.. i realize they are both 'brindle' but are they are different type of brindle.. what type of brindle should i look for if i want the opposite of Sam.. or the exact same color as Brutus Josef's fur baby, or do i just get lucky and find one.. that is my question of the day.. lol..

I believe yours by your description is a reverse brindle

A reverse brindle has so many brindle stripes it looks black and the stripes that show through are indeed fawn colour

There is a picture of a reverse brindle on this website. If you want a boxer that is essentially fawn with black stripes it is just called brindle

I had never heard of the term Check Boxer.....another new one on me.....thanks!

I have seen the term Sealed Brindle used for the ones who look almost black, except for when the light hits them you can see the stripes.
